Oh man! Job-hunting really sucks, right?

I never would have thought finding a job would be so difficult. I knew it was difficult but I didn’t know it would be “that” difficult.
Anyways, I gather some useful advice and information to share with you guys and hope these can help you too!
———————————————————————————————————————————
First thing first, how many job-searching websites have you already checked out? It is always good to start from a job website since they have a lot of opportunities out there though they sometimes can be tricky. Why? Since a job site is basically a large online database, the “resource” a.k.a a hiring company
could be a scam/fake/door-to-door sale. Some of them just want your personal information while others are looking for people who are willing to do face-to-face sale. They are usually lack of organized, and work largely on commission which means if you are in a back luck, it’s possible you will not get any money from the job.
However, job-searching is still a good start for a job-seeker if you are careful/smart enough.
You can check out http://jobsearch.about.com/od/joblistings/tp/jobbanks.htm.
I use most of those sites for job-searching and they got me job interviews, eventually.

What are your secret tips for job-searching?
Let’s exchange some information, yeah?
Happy 26 Birthday!
26, it’s a milestone for me. A new chapter in life.
Today is my 26 year old birthday. I wonder how you usually celebrate
(The picture effects are all from LINE Camera.)
Party all night, get drunk, do something you never ever do or go out with your friends?
As for me, I bought myself a beautiful black and white sweater/jacket (from Ann Taylor). It looks really trendy and elegant.
May this sweater brings me as many lucks as possible, both in interview and in the future. (It definitely has the potential of being a lucky sweater.)
Happy 26 birthday to me!
Beautiful Foliage Season
Autumn is not quite as same as in Taiwan. Usually, it is humid, hot and unbearable. Autumn=Summer (a perfect statement)

However, Autumn here in the U.S is beautiful and full of surprises. Tree leaves are changing all the time. When you have your mind full of jobs, money, house chores and life goals, it is possible that you will be missing something. Something small, irrelevant, and unrelated. Oh, well, it happened to me today. I have been swamped all day with my job searching and interview. I suddenly lifted up my head, there it was, beautiful fall colors painted me an amazing color of red. I truly loved it.
Yet, my story has to be continued…..
Go Rhody!
I am proud to be a URI graduate. The wide space grass land makes you feel like you are walking on a green carpet. The amazing Thai food restaurant hunts me every time when I want to have Thai food in New Haven.
The forever fresh air always pumped me up and gave me a doze of energy when I was wore out by the exams and assignments.
I love my life there in the University of Rhode Island. Professors are always helpful and willing to spend their time sitting down with you and discussing the problem you face on either classes or paper. It was such a blast but also a challenge to study there. Numerous paper and endless assignment all were waited for me to finish and hand them over. When I look back on my life as a grad student, I seriously can not imagine how I went through all these sleepless nights and finally be an alumni. I had my self-doubted moment and once wanted to run away from all the pressure. Yet, I somehow made it through.
I highly recommend this university where Rhode Islanders are friendly and welcoming. Though studying in the graduate school is never easy and interesting, oh! but it’s so rewarding!
I once managed the social accounts of URI Grad School Facebook and Twitter, and I uploaded several pictures of the campus:
https://www.facebook.com/urigradschool/ https://twitter.com/URIGradSchool
It used to be the entrance of my office.
The campus is like a diamond of Rhode Island. I had so much fun there.
It’s a true honer and a pleasure to study there.
More of my campus life in Rhode Island will be revealed soon. Stay tuned 🙂
What we are all crazy about
Taking pictures!
Currently, there’s a APP product called LINE camera which is all we can think about. This camera can create a Photoshop alike effect and design your own poster, flyers and more! LINE camera is amazing, it clears up my skin when I had chips yesterday and caused a tragedy on my face (acne). I will continually upload a series of picture to proof that LINE camera is, in fact, amazing!!
First, please be patient. I uploaded two amazing pictures to illustrate the point. (people always like to see and comment on someone’s picture…please be kind!)
I tried to be a little bit creative, nothing fancy like Adobe. However, LINE is enough for people who want to have a little fun about picture-editing (not bother to learn all those cool but complicated tricks and skills..)
LINE Taiwan Facebook (but it’s in Chinese) https://www.facebook.com/taiwan.line/app_137331002992480
About One Taiwanese student in the U.S. …..
About Taiwanese students in URI, New Haven, the U.S and more!
It’s just me against the big world. What will happen, what will I be facing?? Let’s find out!
